August 01, 2023  •  Leave a Comment

Hey there!

Happy 1st day of August! We took a little time off but we're back (albeit a day late) with a refreshing cocktail perfect for the hottest days of summer. We infused bourbon with orange and cinnamon spice tea and then got a little fancy with the garnish.  We hope you enjoy! As always, if you make any of our drinks, take a picture and share them with us online! Instagram ---> @ staynfocusimages

Let's Make the Orange Tea Infused Bourbon!

  1. Dip the teabag into boiling hot water for a few seconds, just until it just starts to steep.
  2.  Transfer the teabag to mixing glass with 3-4 oz bourbon and let sit for about 10-15 minutes before discarding the teabag.

Let's Make the Drink!

  1. In your shaker cup add all ingredients:
    • 1.5 ounces orange spice tea infused bourbon
    • 1/2 ounce lime juice
    • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
    • 3/4 ounce Disaronno
    • 3 to 4 dashes of orange blossom water
    • 1-2 pinches of ground cloves
    • Ice
  2.  Shake well to chill.
  3. Add Ice to your rocks tumbler
  4. Strain cocktail
  5. Garnish with orange slice
    • For a little razzle dazzle, sprinkle your slice with clove and sugar and place in airfryer on lowest setting for a few minutes until sugar is sticky but orange rind is still pliable.
    • Remove slice and cut a slit from the middle of slice to one edge. Roll your slice to make a rose and secure with toothpicks.
  6. Enjoy!

"Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy. To do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and count the stars. To sit on a branch and study the clouds."
