Hey There!
Sometimes, you just want to sip on a little whiskey. Today's simple recipe makes that straight whiskey a little more palatable. The measurements below are technically for a double, so feel free to adjust as you see fit. For those celebrating, we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy! This makes 1 strong drink! Let's get started!

Here's what you need:
For Garnish
1 Sage Leaf
For Honey Sage Simple Syrup
1/2 Cup Local Honey
10 Sage Leaves
1 Cup Water
For Drink
3 oz. Bourbon Whiskey (we used Basil Hayden's Bourbon)
3 tbsp. Honey Sage Simple Syrup (instructions below)
Orange Peel
Ice ( cubed and one large block/sphere)
You will also need a mixing glass, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, 1 rocks tumbler, and a medium saucepan.

Let's Make the Honey Sage Simple Syrup!

In small pot or saucepan add all ingredients:

1/2 Cup Local Honey

10 Sage Leaves

1 Cup Water

Cook on Medium heat; bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat, strain out sage leaves and set aside to chill.
Let's Make the Drink!

In your mixing glass, add:

Stir gently.

Add ice sphere/block to tumbler and pour your cocktail.

Twist orange peel over glass to release oils

Garnish with sage leaf.

Sip slow. Enjoy!
