Mixology Monday With The Leveretts - Bah Humbug Sugar Plum Martini

This one is for all the Grinches and Scrooges.... all of us who are not quite in the holiday spirit and/or might find ourselves on Santa's naughty list. They say if you receive a lump of coal for Christmas its because you're being punished, let me be the first to start a petition to Santa to swap out that lump of coal, for a swirl of coal in this cocktail. This cocktail has the look and gritty texture of coal thanks to activated charcoal and luster dust but the flavor of sugar plum fairies dancing around on your tongue. We hope you enjoy! This recipe makes 1 drink. Let's get started!
Here's what you need:
For Drink
1.5 oz. Plum Infused Vodka
0.5 oz. Dry Vermouth
0.25 oz. Simple Syrup
0.5 oz. Grenadine
0.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 (260 mg.) Capsule Activated Charcoal
50 mg. Edible Pearl Lustre Dust
You'll also need, a mixing glass, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer and a coup or martini glass.
Let's Make the Drink:
- In your mixing glass, add:
- Ice
- Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (1/2 oz.)
- Simple Syrup (1/4 oz.)
- Grenadine (1/2 oz.)
- Dry Vermouth (1/2 oz.)
- Plum Infused Vodka (1.5 oz.) (We used Plush)
- Stir in Activated Charcoal & Luster Dust
- Strain into your coup/martini glass
- Enjoy!!
