Today we're sharing a popular cocktail in Mexico called the Paloma, which translates to "dove". The classic/traditional Paloma is made with tequila and grapefruit soda. If you cannot find grapefruit soda, you can use fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and club soda like we did. This cocktail screams, just a little more summer please!! We hope you enjoy! As always, if you make any of our drinks, take a picture and share them with us online! Instagram ---> @ staynfocusimages
This makes 2 drinks! Let's get started!
2 Grapefruit Wedges
2 Bunches of Mint Leaves
Granulated Sugar (or salt)
1/2 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
3 oz. Silver Tequila
3 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
4 oz. Club Soda
You will also need a mixing glass, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, 2 highballs or tumblers and 2 small plates to help rim your glass.
Use 1/2 ounce of lime juice and granulated sugar to rim 2 tumbler glasses. (You can also use salt if you wish to enhance the grapefruit flavor). Set glasses aside.
In your mixing glass, add:
Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
Stir gently and use Hawthorne Strainer to pour evenly between your two sugar-rimmed glasses.
Top with club soda and garnish with grapefruit wedges and mint leaves.
