Mixology Monday With The Leveretts - Hot Body Toddy

December 16, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

Hello and welcome back!

We are back again this fine Monday... this time with a cold. Whomp whomp! So we thought this would the perfect time to share our version of a hot toddy... a hot body toddy! Hot toddies are typically made with whiskey however they can also be made with bourbon, scotch or brandy. Our version uses the latter and we had some fun with the garnish. This is a hot drink in case you weren't sure. You can use any mug you'd like; if you use a glass mug be sure its rated for hot temperatures. Safety first! :)  We hope you enjoy! If you make any of our drinks, take a picture and share them with us online! Instagram ---> @ staynfocusimages

Let's Start the Garnish:

  1. Actually let's put the tea kettle on first.
  2. Halve your lemon slice and stick a few cloves into each half. Set aside
  3. Set aside your two mint leaves and sugar sticks.

(Note: You can DIY your sugar sticks if you want-- just a heads up it can take days for the crystals to form to the size you want.)

  5. Add a mint leaf and your sugar stick. (Sugar stick can be removed when ideal sweetness is reached)
  6. Wrap yourself in a blanket and sit in front of a fireplace (or space heater lol)
