Hey hey!

We wanted to share a light and sweet cocktail, perfect for a weekend afternoon or to impress your quarantine approved house guest. Our version of the zipper cocktail swaps lemon-lime soda for ginger beer and we add an extra step of muddling blackberries and mint leaves for more depth of flavor. This makes 2 drinks. Let's get started!

Here's what you need:

For Drink
2 oz. Chambord (Raspberry Liqueur)
2 oz. Vodka
1.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
8 oz. Ginger Beer
6-8 Mint Leaves
6-8 Blackberries
Ice

For Garnish
2 Slices Lime
2 Large Mint Leaves

You will also need, cocktail shaker, hawthorne strainer, fine mesh strainer, muddler and 2 rocks tumblers. 

Let's Make the Drink!

1. In a shaker cup, add blackberries and mint leaves and muddle for approx. 10 seconds.
2. Next, add:
   • Chambord (2 oz.)
   • Vodka (2 oz.)
   • Lemon & Lime juice (1.5 oz, each)
   • Simple Syrup (1/2 oz.)
   • Ice (8-10 cubes)
3. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
4. Double strain using hawthorne strainer and fine mesh strainer into two rocks tumblers
5. Add ice (4-6 cubes each glass)
6. Top with ginger beer (approx. 3-4 oz. per glass)
7. Garnish with mint leaf and lime slice
8. Enjoy!!
