We have all heard the saying; “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” but, why settle? Adding spirits, mint, and natural vanilla flavor profiles help elevate this American classic well beyond the ordinary. This original cocktail was Frank's creation after a mentally challenging day. This recipe makes 1 drink. Let's get started!

Here's what you need:

For Garnish
1 Small Bunches of Mint Leaves
1 Lemon Slices
Optional Lemon Spiral for Aesthetics

For Drink
1.5 oz. Vanilla Simple Syrup (click here for recipe)
3 oz. Brandy 
4.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
10-12 Mint Leaves
1 tbsp Agave Nectar
Ice Cubes
1 High Ball Glass (or glass that can hold 9 oz)

You'll also need a Shaker Cup and Muddler.

Let's Make the Drink!

1. In a shaker cup add:
   • Mint Leaves (10-12) - Before adding, give the leave 2 smacks; by giving the herbs a smack, you're rupturing some of their cells and releasing their essential oils, this increases the aroma.
   • Vanilla Simple Syrup (1.5 oz) - Recipe Here
     • Note: If you do not have or cannot find vanilla beans, you can use one drop of vanilla extract in the recipe.
   • Agave Nectar (1 tbsp)
2. Muddle (approx 5 turns)
3. Add Ice (8-12 cubes)
4. Add Brandy (3oz)
5. Add Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (4.5 oz)
6. Shake Vigourously for 15-20 Seconds
7. Pour Into Glass Over Ice
8. Add Garnish
9. Enjoy!
